About this show

Essex band, Bawls-Out, formed around July 2017 and went through a number of line up changes before gelling with the current line-up in April 2018 when Ian Fair (bass) and Paul Griffin (drums and backing vocals) joined Kevin (guitar and backing vocals), Andy Bristow (guitar), Gina Northernbat Lewis (vocals and percussion) and Tee Rets (lead vocals and percussion). Collectively the band members are very experienced and have played many gigs, recorded, done sessions, been in competitions, appeared on radio, depped, guested. played some big venues and supported name acts.

The band played its first gig at Mearfest back in June 2018 soon followed by a live appearance on Phoenix Live Radio, which was well received. Since then the band has played a string of gigs taking in many of the main rock pubs on the circuit and to great reception, pulling good sized crowds and adding to our following with every show. Our emphasis is on entertainment with our brand of lesser covered classic hard rock and metal covers that are played with precision playing and singing of high standard and performed with high energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of humour that includes the amusing use of theatrical elements for various sections of our sets, making use of props, costume changes and various characters joining us in our little dramatisations that always go down well with our audiences, adding to the atmosphere. Performance is key, as well as the music, so there's something happening all the way through and we invite audience participation throughout, leading them in energetic singalongs in numbers we've designed to get a vigorous vocal response from crowds.

Bawls-Out takes its repertoire from bands such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Motorhead, AC/DC, UFO, Riot, Yngwie Malmsteen, Scorpions, Michael Schenker, Rainbow, and many more, and we put our own stamp on the songs. The twin guitar attack and soaring vocals and harmonies backed by our dynamic, steady and reliable rhythm section, gives the band its distinctive sound on the circuit and is winning us many friends.
