About this show
As part of Southend Pride, The Railway Hotel is honoured to be hosting a unique and exciting event! Marlow, significant on the Southend music scene, came out of retirement and due to an incredible response have been recording and gigging again. Local legend Rob Marlow has written and recorded with Vince Clark and played a big part in the Basildon music scene in the 80s along with Depeche Mode and Alf. Also on the bill is Subject:2,
Gary Starky from Marlow and Sandra Tully. The event is a homage to the world of dance music since the first Tea Dance parties at Fire Island Pines in the 1960's with Southend Price giving the Tea Dance it’s own special seaside twist! With Sean Moriarty, Spacial Awareness (aka Tony Pontius) and Rob Tocknell spinning the classics late into the night with the top DJ spot going to Scott Cuba.
